David Worthy Guitars - Vintage-14 Model #66V8, Article #014, 19 May 2012
The Vintage-14 is a popular model by David Worthy Guitars.
It is regular built with 12 frets but this piece is up to 14 frets. It plays very well. Strong and balance tone, clear notes separation, very comfortable for picking and its graduating neck radius provides good grip as the playing moves up the higher registers.
It has a symmetrical bracing pattern. The neck is fitted with 2 way truss rod. The neck also has a pair of carbon fibre bars either side of the rod. These bars extend up into the head to reinforce the neck / head scarf joint. The neck is fully removable via 2 bolts accessible through the sound hole. The binding is Figured Australian Blackwood. It has 12 coats of water based finish (KTM - 9) cut back after every 4 coats, then buffed. It was built in 2011.
